Your role and responsibilities

As a key member of the Performance and Reward (P&R) function, the Compensation Analyst will be the technical specialist focusing on pay equity and transparency topics, maximizing the usage of tools to promote improving pay gap management and pay transparency within the businesses.
You will be partnering with a broad network of other subject matter experts to implement pay strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., EU Pay Transparency Directive, EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and ABB's values.
You will also contribute towards promoting employees' understanding and trust in the company's reward practices, while actively working to identify and address potential pay disparities that will create a sustainable, equitable, and inclusive workplace and society.
This role reports directly to the Global Head of Compensation
The role will be a fixed term contract for 24 months. The location is flexible globally.
Key responsibilities:
* Advanced Statistical Analysis: Conduct in-depth statistical analyses to identify and address potential gender pay disparities. Leverage on available technologies, apply market best practices and sound statistical methods in modelling and analysing the underlying employee data to determine pay gaps and the associated remediation budgets. Prepare detailed reports on findings and actionable insights, which will help in recommending pay gap remediation.
* Tool and Data Management: Set up and maintain sophisticated analysis tools which support the data for facilitating reviews of current pay gaps and provide pay predictions to support making equitable salary offers.
* Compliance and Reporting: Ensure data integrity and support compliance on legislative reporting requirements, collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
* Policy Development: Contribute towards developing and updating HR policies and practices utilizing statistical insights to inform policy decisions.
* Audit and Review: Monitor progress of pay gap remediation efforts conducting periodic audits of reward practices, identifying areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
* Research and Benchmarking: Monitor and stay current with industry trends, market conditions, legislative developments and best practices related to pay equity/transparency.

Qualifications for the role
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, with direct exposure to data modelling and advanced statistical analysis (e.g., regression analysis, hypothesis testing, multivariate analysis, etc.).
  • University level education in a quantitative discipline will be an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in technology, showcasing a robust capacity for skill enhancement and data management proficiencies. Workday experience is an advantage
  • Ability to translate complex statistical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Can work with self-management in a demanding environment, collaborating with a diverse workforce
  • Ownership and accountability with attention to details in managing sensitive information.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
