This position is an essential part of Sherwin's manufacturing team. This position assists the Production Supervisor in the manufacturing of high-quality products, as well as meeting department specific requirements pertaining to safety, housekeeping, quality, and training. This position is responsible for setting up, running and maintain manufacturing equipment to fills and package product into containers for shipment. This position performs various manufacturing tasks as assigned and is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and productive working environment.

Additional Information:

3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors




  • Provide coverage for filling supervisors on various shifts during their absence
  • Training new employees as needed
  • Operating equipment correctly (filling and packaging equipment)
  • Dealing with problematic equipment.
  • Plan and prepare for batch/line change overs.
  • Ensure daily down time tracking is conducted and recorded
  • Run lines through breaks when required due to backlog.
  • Fill in for missing operators to run various filling lines.
  • Maintains employee accountability for adherence to schedule.
  • Make certain all equipment failures/issues are documented, communicated, and corrected so as to not interrupt the manufacturing schedule.
  • Schedule filling board in absence of Supervisor.


Minimum Requirements:



  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Have at least an associate's degree or higher
  • Have at least one (1) year of experience in leadership role(s), supervising others, or leading teams
  • Have at least completed formal training in and/or do you have at least one (1) year of work experience applying continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
  • Have at least three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts, etc.)
