POSITION SUMMARY

Primary responsibilities of the Data Entry Clerk is to support our account managers and provider network teams to collect claims information and other data from clients and providers and enter information into the appropriate format needed for claims processing. This includes correctly interpreting the information received and following up with clients and providers as needed to confirm or correct information submitted.

Essential Functions Statement(s)


  • Call providers when invoices are received to have them submit patient specific claims.
  • Scan claims to Lucent for processing.
  • Transcribe Eligibility files from PDF to Excel format so that they can be uploaded to Lucent.
  • Manually check eligibility of members on client websites and document date range of eligibility.
  • Validate that 100% of scanned claims make it on to Paid Claim file and work through any exceptions.
  • Follow up with clients to obtain information including claims, eligibility files, authorization file, or other information as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.



PREFERRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Degree required.
Experience: One to three years related experience in a medical or customer service center environment preferred.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Microsoft Outlook
Certificates & Licenses:

Preferred Skills: Ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English. A thorough, dependable, detail-oriented approach to work with excellent communication skills. Ideal candidate must possess attentive listening skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to provide a high level of customer service experience. Knowledge of medical claims processing services preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with a team of colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
