Overview
The Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA)'s Risk and Quality Management (RQM) Unit is seeking a qualified individual to join their team. Starting rate may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications. The Administrative Services Coordinator III supports the team primarily on risk and quality management activities. The RQM unit takes a pro-active approach to regulatory preparedness and strives to create a culture of continuous quality improvement within Vermont's Medicaid Program. To be successful at that, we conduct risk assessments, coordinate compliance audits, use data to make decisions about our performance and help staff improve results when indicated. This position, Administrative Services Coordinator III (Job Requisition #52540), is open to all State employees and external applicants. AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights. Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent AND four (4) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff. OR One year of full-time college level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND three (3) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff. OR Two years of full-time college level study OR an associate's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND two (2) years or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff. OR Three years of full-time college level study in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field AND one (1) year or more of experience providing administrative-level support to a business or organization INCLUDING one (1) year or more in an accounting or budgeting function and experience as a supervisor of clerical or administrative staff. OR Four years of full-time college level study OR a bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, business or public administration, office administration or a related field. OR One (1) year or more as an Administrative Services Coordinator II with the State of Vermont NOTE: Only administrative work experience is qualifying. Administrative support includes those functions which keep the organization running or provide the resources for others to provide the programmatic work (e.g., accounting, budget management, grant administration, finance, human resources, payroll, purchasing, or space management).
