Contract Litigation Attorney- Fully Remote (AZ)

Vaco is partnering with a premier client based in Phoenix, AZ, to find a fully remote Litigation Attorney. The successful candidate will be part of a legal team currently handling a class action lawsuit in its discovery phase. Ideal candidates will have a solid background in eDiscovery and complex litigation, along with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active Bar admission in the U.S. This is a contract role expected to last a minimum of one year, offering remote flexibility and competitive compensation of up to $90/hour. Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Leverage eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Exterro) to:
    • Test search terms and electronically stored information (ESI) parameters
    • Tag and classify documents
    • Review and assess documents for relevance, responsiveness, privilege, and confidentiality
    • Coordinate the production of documents
  • Prepare privilege logs, develop timelines, and draft document summaries
  • Work closely and consistently with the in-house litigation team to ensure a streamlined and accurate document review process
  • Uphold confidentiality and maintain ethical standards throughout all review stages
  • Conduct legal research and draft concise memoranda on specific issues as requested

    Our preferred qualifications:
    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to a State Bar within the United States.
    • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated litigation, discovery, and large-scale document review projects.
    • Experience with privilege and confidentiality assessments.
    • Proficiency in eDiscovery software, particularly Relativity. Experience with Exterro a plus.

    Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
