TITLE: Cyber Risk Management Engineer

Location: 1333 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612; Must live within reasonable commuting distance from Oakland, CA office and able to appear in office as required.

Salary: $143,582 - $153,070/year

Job Description: The Cyber Risk Management Engineer will be an integral part of the Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team. TPRM is responsible for conducting security risk assessments of third party service providers, documenting, and reporting assessment results, and tracking risk remediation until closure. This role requires the evaluation of complex enterprise-scale information security problems in the context of regulations, standards, contractual, and business requirements. The Cyber Risk Management Engineer will also provide advisory services to internal customers, stakeholders, and partners. This role will review and interpret the third party attested reports. Must live within reasonable commuting distance from Oakland, CA office and able to appear in office as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Evaluate cybersecurity information for reliability, validity and relevance using at least one (1) of the following: MS Microsoft Office, SQL, PowerApps, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, ProcessUnity;
  2. Experience applying cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements using at least one (1) of the following: SOC2 Type II, HIITRUT, ISO 270001 third party attested reports;
  3. Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies such as one (1) of the following: LAN/WAN, security architecture, TCP/IP, VISIO, and ACLs;
  4. Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery continuity of operations plans;
  5. Knowledge of information technology (IT) security principles and methods such as one (1) of the following: Firewall Rules, demilitarized zones, encryption; and
  6. Knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards with the standard's requirements, ensuring the secure handling of sensitive payment data.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Cyber\Information Security, engineering, or related field and two (2) years of experience in Cyber\Information security or in the job offered or related role.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.

Pay Grade 20. $143,582 - $153,070
