Basic Function:

The Rotary Supervisor / Scheduler is responsible for planning, implementing, and improving the daily workflow of the assigned Rotary Assembly area. This position oversees the manufacturing process for rotary products, ensuring quality output, adherence to safety standards, and efficient production scheduling.

Principle Duties:



  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, direct, and discipline production team members in the Rotary Assembly area.
  • Quality Management: Ensure all production meets established quality standards by inspecting output and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Safety Compliance: Prioritize and maintain a safe work environment, enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
  • Planning and Scheduling: Prepare and manage daily work schedules. Develop and maintain production schedules in coordination with material planning to meet operational goals.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate and submit regular reports on production performance, progress, and challenges.
  • Cross-Department Communication: Maintain effective communication with other manufacturing departments and ensure consistent, transparent communication with the production team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate production efficiency, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement process enhancements to drive operational excellence.



Accountability:



  • This position reports to the Production Manager.



Education and Experience:



  • Associate degree in Business, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or scheduling role.
  • Experience with production scheduling and planning processes preferred.
  • Background in rotary equipment or assembly processes is a strong advantage.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strategic thinking ability with a broad view of operations and a proactive approach to decision-making.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to show empathy while consistently enforcing company policies and aligning with organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience with BPCS or similar ERP systems is a plus.



Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Direct oversight of the Rotary Assembly production team, including responsibility for value stream performance and team development.


Training Requirements:



  • 5S Training
  • General Safety Training



Physical Demands:



  • Required to be able to move about the facility (standing, walking).



Personal Protective Equipment:



  • While on shop floor, must wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes at all times.
  • No loose clothing, watches, jewelry, rings, etc that could get caught in machines.



Work Environment:



  • Mostly a mix of office environment exposure, with some warehouse or factory and some venue visits.
