Duties and Responsibilities |
Performs all activities relating to the successful leasing of apartments.
- Follow policies and procedures while adhering to all local, state, and federal laws including all laws governing Fair Housing and Ethics
- Quickly and efficiently respond to phone calls, emails, text inquiries
- Provide excellent customer service to our residents, prospects, vendors, and the general public
- Conduct building tours of our model, properties, vacant units and amenities to prospects in a knowledgeable manner
- Ensure all lead inquiries and follow-ups are responded to in a timely manner
- Lease apartments in accordance to procedures set forth by management; which includes meeting and/or exceeding monthly goals
- Accurately enter new lease, renewal, and rental application information - verify all required information and submit to management for approval
- Guide applicants through the leasing cycle; ensure all requirements are met prior to resident move-in and accurately collect all needed monies/fees
- Prepare leases, renewals and all needed addenda
- Maintain and manage new and existing lease files; complete projects in a timely manner as set forth by management
- Assist in move-in / move-out process
- Receive and enter resident service requests
- Respond to resident inquiries and concerns promptly; document and communicate requests to appropriate departments
- Conduct follow up phone calls/emails with residents to ensure resident satisfaction
- Assist with resident programs and retention strategies
- Shop competitors and complete market surveys
- Ensure leasing office, model(s), vacant units and common areas meet readiness standards on a daily basis
- Maintain detailed knowledge of local market and conditions
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure all sensitive information received is properly secured
- Other duties may be assigned as needed

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience |
High school diploma or equivalent required. At least one year of sales and customer service experience required. |
Qualifications |
- High-school graduate, College graduate preferred
- Active/'in good standing' leasing license in the State of Illinois
- 3 years of sales experience or minimum 2 year of multifamily leasing experience required
- Successful track record in leasing and/or sales; previous multifamily leasing experience is preferred
- Proficient computer/technical skills in business-related computer software, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Apple products, Google services and Yardi systems experience is preferred
