About This Role

Kansas State University's Aerospace and Technology Campus in Salina is seeking an experienced manager to lead Flight Support Operations. This position oversees all activities of flight line workers and is responsible for the day to day supervision of flight line personnel and supervisors of flight (SOF). The incumbent in this position oversees the interface between the flight program, flight maintenance, and flight line operations. The Flight Support Operations Manager is responsible for safe operations of flight training and operations activities.

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma and four years of relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with a flight scheduling/invoicing software (example Flight Schedule Pro & Total FBO or equivalent).
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Previous FAR 141 dispatch experience.
  • Familiar with FAA regulations and Aviation Terminology.
  • Ability to read FAA weather.
  • FAA Private Pilot license.
  • Purchasing experience.
  • Ability to work well within teams.
  • Scheduling experience of workers.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • General knowledge of Accounting Practices (GAAP).
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.


Other Requirements:



  • Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Flight School Security Awareness Training to be completed within one week of employment.
