Description

Formulation & Product Development



  • Develop and maintain a library of turnkey and custom dietary supplement formulas incorporating Kaneka's probiotic strains and proprietary ingredients.
  • Select commercially available ingredients based on market trends, scientific evidence, and customer needs to create innovative and competitive formulations.
  • Work closely with third-party manufacturers and suppliers to ensure feasibility, stability, and scalability of new formulations.


Sales & Marketing Support



  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to identify new product opportunities for customers and prospects, whether as finished turnkey products or raw material supply.
  • Provide scientific and technical input to develop marketing strategies and messaging that highlight products benefits and differentiation.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing collateral, white papers, and presentations to support sales efforts.


Customer Support & Technical Consultation



  • Provide technical and regulatory support to customers regarding the application of Kaneka's probiotic and nutritional ingredients in their formulations.
  • Respond to Customer inquiries, troubleshoot formulation challenges, and recommend optimal ingredient combinations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, DSHEA, EFSA, Health Canada) for dietary supplements.


Scientific communication and Market Intelligence



  • Translate scientific research into clear, market-ready messaging to assist Sales and Marketing in promoting Kaneka's probiotic ingredients and finished products.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to guide product innovation and business strategy.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to represent Kaneka's expertise in probiotic and dietary supplement formulations.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelors (required)
Experience
Understanding of U.S. dietary supplements sales, private label, or ingredient supply. (preferred)
Experience working in B2B dietary supplement sales, private label, or ingredient supply. (preferred)
Knowledge of probiotics, postbiotics, and functional ingredients. (required)
5 - 7 years: Experience in dietary supplement formulation and product development. (required)
