The below is a position with ASPEQ Heating Group. ASPEQ Heating Group is a marketplace leader in innovative electric heating solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex work.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an HR Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources team in the Electric Heat business. This entry-level role is a great opportunity for someone looking to launch their HR career in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The HR Coordinator will handle a wide range of responsibilities from administrative support to employee engagement, communication, compliance tracking, and more.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. HR Administration and Support
  • Maintain and monitor time and attendance records, partnering with supervisors to ensure accuracy. Submit a bi-weekly payroll submission.
  • Respond to basic employee questions or direct employees to appropriate resources.
  • Collect and file doctors' notes, FMLA documentation, and other confidential records.
  • Manage HR office functions such as filing, data entry, and faxes.
  • Process employee changes (Transfers, terminations, updates)
  • Track and follow up on compliance trainings, policy acknowledgements, and certifications
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Other projects as needed
  1. New Hire Process and Onboarding
  • Review background check results and flag discrepancies
  • Coordinate start dates, orientation logistics, and welcome materials
  • Draft and distribute new hire announcements to the Electric Heat team
  • Support recruiting events, job fairs, or internship programs
  • Complete new hire documents such as I-9's
  1. Employee Engagement and Experience
  • Support the Engagement Committee by coordinating meetings, communications, and events
  • Assist with planning employee appreciation events, holiday gatherings, and town halls
  • Administer employee recognition programs and service award milestones
  • Coordinate Exit interviews and log responses in tracking documents
  • Coordinate wellness activities across Electric Heat (flu shots, biometrics screenings, etc.)
  1. HR Communications
  • Draft and distribute internal HR-related communications
  • Maintain HR bulletin boards and digital communication tools for the office
  • Support the development of employee newsletters or updates
  1. HR Reporting and Analytics
  • Support the preparation of basic HR metrics reports
  • Assist with HR audits, documentation reviews, and file clean-ups.

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

  • 0 to 2 years of applicable experience
  • Excellence organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Friendly, approachable, and able to build rapport across teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint and Excel)

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with HRIS systems (SuccessFactors and Dayforce)
  • Experience with ERP systems (Syteline and ShopTrak)

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or 5 years of experience in an HR, administrative, or customer service role)

Travel & Working Environment

  • Hybrid office environment (3 days on-site)
  • < 10% Travel
