Job Title: Paralegal Supervisor

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Permanent Opportunity

Location: Onsite in Washington, DC

Key Duties:




  • Oversee daily operations and performance of experienced legal support professionals and administrative staff.



  • Track assignments and ensure timely completion of tasks in alignment with department standards.



  • Guarantee that output aligns with established protocols and submission timelines.




Additional Responsibilities:




  • Analyze extensive input received from public commentary on regulatory matters.



  • Examine legal filings and documents, carry out in-depth legal research, and present findings both in written memos and verbal briefings.



  • Gather and review details from legal case files and supplementary sources for further legal analysis.



  • Coordinate with agency partners and external entities to acquire necessary reports and documents.



  • Research government and departmental litigation stances to support case development.



  • Manage documentation and maintain logs related to legal actions arising from internal reviews.



  • Serve as a liaison with petitioners, legal representatives, and community members.



  • Draft communications to external partners and government bodies involved in case assessments.



  • Assist with review processes by editing case summaries, compiling research, and organizing information.



  • Assemble and format supporting materials for external communications and case referrals.



  • Provide recommendations on case developments forwarded by other departments.



  • Digitize documents and upload materials into the case tracking system.



  • Maintain digital case records, enter case details, and manage deadlines through Microsoft Outlook and other tracking tools.




Required Qualifications:




  • Completion of a paralegal certification, a Juris Doctor degree, or at least one year completed at an ABA-approved law school.



  • A minimum of three years of hands-on legal support experience, particularly in litigation or trial settings.



  • At least one year utilizing technology-driven tools for managing litigation data.



  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams, with strong communication abilities to collaborate effectively with legal professionals and clients.



  • Understanding of both federal and state judicial systems, and familiarity with legal databases such as Westlaw and LEXIS.



  • Skilled in a range of office software including word processing, spreadsheets, and data management tools.



  • Prior experience with electronically stored information (ESI) and digital discovery practices is a plus.



  • Capable of producing precise, high-quality work within tight deadlines.



  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to secure a Public Trust background check.
