Structural Welder

Pay & Schedule:

• $20.00 per hour
• 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 PM - 5:30 AM

As a Structural Welder, you'll play a vital role in fabricating and welding components for steel structures while maintaining a strong focus on safety and precision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Understanding and strictly adhering to all shop safety policies and procedures
• Setting up equipment and welding metal parts using gas welding and various arc welding processes
• Using tools such as cutting torches and carbon air torches to assemble steel components
• Performing welds that meet certification standards and passing employer-required performance tests
• Practicing good housekeeping by maintaining a clean and organized workspace and properly disposing of waste materials
• Supporting team operations by assisting with other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of welding experience, specifically in structural steel fabrication
• Ability to pass a 6G Flux Core weld test using 1/16 wire
• Proficient in gas and arc welding methods
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and safety practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a typical welding shop environment (fumes, arc flash, noise, etc.)
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
