Job Description: Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Flight Test Dispatcher II to join our Final Assembly Line based in Mobile, AL. In addition to Dispatcher I responsibilities, of flight planning, crew briefings and dispatch of test flights for the A320 family and A220 program. The Dispatcher II will demonstrate an advanced understanding of Mobile Flight Test operations, and will engage in the management of additional duties and responsibilities. Dispatch A220/A320/A321 test flights in accordance with FAA/TCCA/EASA regulations and company policies and procedures. Provide detailed crew briefing (including Customer crews) to include weather, ATC flight plan, NOTAMS, atmospheric conditions affecting aircraft communications, and airspace concerns (SUA, ATC capacity, TFR information).
Advanced Coordination responsibilities: 50%
Manage TSA waiver program with both programs A220 & A320M and Customer Experience team. Resource planning and crew scheduling to include all stakeholders to efficiently provide support for A220 & A320 programs. Manage Sustainability initiatives to increase SAF usage during production Flight Test events and tracking of Sustainability KPIs. Airport liaison for Airbus to cultivate relationships with Mobile Airport Authorities (MAA) and Air Traffic Control (ATC).
Additional Operational Tasks : 35%
ALB administration and training of new hires. Safety Management System (SMS) delegate of 1V for Flight Test OPS Mobile. Develop and maintain dispatch guidelines, operating procedures, and training procedures. Organize and oversee Flight OPS department meetings.

Required: High School Diploma Ability to complete and pass required Airbus Training Preferred: FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate holder. Required: 3 to 5 years of experience in the flight operations department. Preferred: Previous experience working in a Flight Test department. Required: FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certification holder. Preferred: Pilot's license. Travel Required: 10% Domestic and International. Required: FAA airspace, route, terminal, and proficiency regulations. NOTAM comprehension. Able to provide clear and concise communication to senior level managers. Required: Fluent English. Preferred: French, German, or Spanish is a plus. Required: Previous NavBlue or similar flight planning software experience.
Preferred: Previous experience conducting communication tests with aircraft. Directly responsible for the safe and efficient planning of Flight Test activities. Responsible for communicating to internal and external customers. Close coordination with Mobile Airport Authority (MAA) Operations, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Air Traffic Controllers (ATC), and Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCC). International ferry flight departure cooperation with US Customs and Border Protection.

Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Carrying: Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. [10 % of time] Lifting: Able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. [10% of time] Pushing / Pulling: Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. [10% of time] Sitting: Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Squatting / Kneeling: Able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Standing: Able to stand for discussions in offices or Delivery Center ramps. Travel: Able to travel independently and at short notice. Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Able to walk through the office and Delivery Center including uneven surfaces. Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site. Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
