*Job Description:*
TEKsystems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cable Technician for one of our clients in Wilmington, NC. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems for a large commercial space of approximately one million square feet, supporting Amazon Robotics. This role requires a strong understanding of cabling standards and excellent technical skills. *Responsibilities:* * Install, test, and troubleshoot various types of cabling including fiber optics, CAT5e, CAT6, and coaxial. * Ensure all installations meet industry standards and customer specifications. * Perform site surveys and provide accurate project estimates. * Troubleshoot and resolve cabling issues. * Maintain accurate documentation of installations and repairs. * Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely project completion. * Adhere to safety protocols and company policies. * Pull and install cables efficiently and safely. * Demonstrate a willingness to learn cable termination techniques. *Requirements:* * Prior experience with commercial cabling projects. * Strong knowledge of cabling standards and best practices. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. * Excellent problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. * Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, RCDD) are a plus. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
