Job Description

SECURITY PATROL GUARD IN WHITTIER

PAY RATE: $20.69 - FULL TIME

CA DRIVERS LICENSE REQUIRED

ABLE TO PASS MOTOR VEHICLE RECORD REQUIRED

The Security Patrol Guard in Whittier is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and peaceful environment of cemetery grounds through routine vehicle patrols and site inspections. This position involves monitoring for suspicious activity, enforcing site rules, securing gates and facilities, and providing a visible security presence to deter unauthorized access, vandalism, and disturbances. The Patrol Driver also assists with emergency responses, reports incidents, and provides support to visitors and staff as needed with professionalism and compassion.

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strict grooming and uniform standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct regular patrols of the cemetery grounds to ensure safety and security.
  • Monitor and manage access to the park, ensuring authorized entry for visitors and staff.
  • Provide assistance and support to families and visitors, answering questions and offering guidance with compassion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a professional and polished appearance, adhering to strict grooming and uniform standards.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and visitor concerns, ensuring a calm and respectful resolution.
  • Enforce park rules and regulations while maintaining a respectful atmosphere for all visitors.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and visitor interactions in detailed reports.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the cemetery grounds
  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

INTERVIEW AND SITE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have an ACTIVE California Guard Card
  • Dress for an Interview; Business Professional
  • Natural Hair Color
  • Cover possible exposed tattoos
  • No sweat suits, hoodies or tank tops
  • No sandals, slides or flip flops

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    *A valid driver's license will be required for this driving position.
