Position Title: Quality Inspector
Wage: $52,000-$58,240 per year Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm QPS Employment Group has a great Quality Inspector position available at a company in Rockford, IL. This is a 1st shift, direct hire position. Quality Inspector Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using hand tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and visual inspection techniques. - Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. - Maintain inspection records, non-conformance reports, and other quality documentation. - Assist with basic SPC (Statistical Process Control) data collection and monitoring. - Support the creation and upkeep of Control Plans, Inspection Sheets, and First Article Inspection Reports. - Perform first-piece inspections for new setups or process changes. - Collaborate with CNC machinists and supervisors to resolve quality issues on the floor. - Assist with root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). - Help maintain calibration records for inspection equipment. - Ensure cleanliness and organization of quality workspace and tools. Quality Inspector Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required, technical training or associate degree a plus. - Basic understanding of quality control principles and measurement tools. - Comfortable working with or learning engineering drawings and tolerances. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Attention to detail and a proactive mindset. - Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality tasks. david.franz@qpsemployment.com About us: QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
