Embedded Software Engineer - RealTek Ethernet Switch Category: Engineering Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-384306 Embedded Software Engineer - RealTek Ethernet Switch We're looking for someone who has strong, hands-on experience implementing and developing software specifically for the RealTek RTL9068L Ethernet Switch. This is common part used in Automotive gateway use cases. This isn't just general networking or embedded Linux experience; we really need someone who has worked directly with the SDK, drivers, configuration, and potentially debugging related to this RealTek chip (or perhaps very similar ones in the RealTek family). Critical Skill: Proven experience developing/integrating software for the RealTek RTL9068L Ethernet switch. This includes understanding its specific features, APIs, configuration methods (like register access, management interfaces), and potential limitations. Essential Technical Skills: Strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded systems. Experience with embedded Linux or other relevant RTOS environments. Solid understanding of Ethernet switching concepts (VLANs, QoS, L2/L3 protocols, etc.). Experience with hardware bring-up and debugging low-level software/hardware interaction issues, ideally related to network interfaces or switch silicon. Familiarity with cross-compilation toolchains and embedded development environments. Desirable Skills: Experience with RealTek switch families. Experience with NXP Green Hills RTOS Experience with 10Base T1S PHY ICs, like Microchip LAN8671 Estimated Min Rate: $60.00 Estimated Max Rate: $90.00 Note: Any pay ranges displayed are estimations.
