Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation.

The Training & Health Equity Collaborative Project Manager plays a crucial role within the THEC team. Their primary responsibility is to oversee and manage day-to-day activities related to projects led by the Co-PI's of the THEC, as well as other projects in their portfolio. This role operates under the guidance of the Deputy Director and receives additional oversight from the senior management team. The project manager provides administrative management, project management, and evaluation management to both the AC Alliance funded ACTUD program, and the Anthem funded LATDU program. To fulfill this role effectively, they collaborate closely with various colleagues including the THEC Director, Associate Director other Project Managers, Training Managers, and coordinators. In addition, they manage a variety of subject matter experts by way of subcontracted scopes. Key responsibilities of the Project Manager encompass managing websites and promotional materials for all THEC projects, logistical and technical support for online events, social media, and other collaboration platforms, managing evaluation data in the CHAMP database, and other project specific databases, logistical planning, and co-hosting/co-leading trainings as needed, as well as preparing all progress reports.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $80,200 - $120,300 (Annual Rate).

Department Description

The Training & Health Equity Collaborative (THEC) is housed in the Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM), under the guidance of the Principal Investigators, the Unit has had domestic and international training grants and has been funded at the federal and state level as the prime recipient, as well as subcontracts from various universities and agencies. Its major domestic project, the Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center (PAETC), provides AIDS-related training, education, technical assistance, consultation, and information services to health care providers in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawai`i, and the six U.S.-affiliated Pacific jurisdictions. PAETC's regional office at UCSF generates and administers government grants and contracts, then subcontracts major portions of the work to eight medical schools (UC and other Universities) in our four-state region. The Skills Development Unit supports similar capacity-building assistance efforts to improve coordination and strengthen client engagement in the provision of social services for people without housing and high utilizers of medical and behavioral health services. This program is funded by CalAIM/Anthem and supports workforce development as a continuation of the whole person care initiative in the state of California.

The Training Development Unit (TDU) is housed within the UCSF Department of Family and Medicine and the successor to AC Care Connect Skill Development Unit, is funded jointly through the Alamanda Alliance for Health and Anthem Blue Cross as a facet of its CalAIM initiative. The TDU provides training and technical assistance to Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports providers within Alameda County, and Los Angeles County, to increase their knowledge of services for eligible clients, hone consumer engagement skills, support professional development for team members, and strengthen workforce retention. In addition, the TDU provides marketing, registration, virtual session support, materials development, evaluation, and reporting for all training offerings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Minimum 3 year of related experience
• Knowledge of common organization-specific or / and other computer application programs.
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent computer, word processing, writing skills, interpersonal and telephone communication skills
• Solid ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized, able to multitask. Superior ability to prioritize assignments, manage several concurrent projects effectively with frequent interruptions under deadlines
• Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
• Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team. Ability to problem-solve and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.
• Experience working with webinar and teleconference software like WebEx, Adobe Connect, Zoom
• Experience working on shared e-work platforms, such as Slack, MS Teams, Box
• Experience working on social media platforms, including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and other relevant outlets
• Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, complex schedules, and meeting planning on multiple calendars
• Knowledge/understanding of international AIDS education programming and international relations
• Working knowledge of common organization-specific or / and other computer application programs.
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency using MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with survey and evaluation tools (i.e.: Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, Doodle).
• Experience with standard UCSF policies and procedures, such as travel reimbursements, purchase orders, and grant proposal submissions
