  • Estimated hourly pay:$30.73 (minimum) -$38.41(mid) -$46.09 (maximum) and overtime, if applicable

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Operations Specialist we have an exciting opportunity for you.

The Operations Specialist reports to the manufacturing supervisor and are responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining a limited number of machine types in an industrial setting. The position works under a high level of supervision, limited troubleshooting, decision-making and problem solving. There is limited contact with external suppliers or customers.

What You Will Be Doing

Essential Functions

  • Troubleshoots and solves problems

  • Understands and follows processes. Identifies areas for improvement

  • Identifies mistakes on various manufacturing documents

  • Interprets work instructions and manufacturing documentation

  • Dispositions standard nonconformance's (i.e. QNs/NCRs/ATRs)

Other Functions

  • Identify improvements or issues with basic tools

  • Manufacturing & Assembly Specific Functions:

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and/or design/training/implementation of processes including setup/programming/training for tooling, fixturing, assembly equipment, and manufacturing aids and

  • Basic interpretation of specifications and participation in hardware disposition

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Basic written/verbal communication skills

  • Basic understanding of six sigma tools and lean principles

  • Basic troubleshooting and problem solving skills

  • Basic computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, and SAP)

  • Able to manufacture basic parts or assemblies with preliminary drawings. Able to operate basic test or manufacturing equipment

  • Able to interpret basic schematics or drawings and identify mistakes

Education

  • High School Diploma, or Equivalent

Experience

  • No less than 2 years in a manufacturing environment
