Overview

LMI seeks a Logistics Property/Supply Specialist to support a federal program management office in Washington, D.C.

As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide "eyes and ears" technology to protect our nation. This position can be performed remotely, with a requirement to be on-site in Washington, D.C. when requested. This position is contingent on client approved funding.

Responsibilities

    Provide supply chain management support to include sourcing, procurement, and logistics management activities.
  • Conduct process mapping and recommend improvements for optimizing supply chain processes.
  • Identify and help to resolve operating and support deficiencies.
  • Determine and maintain sparing and consumable levels by working with program logistics and vendors.
  • Track requisitions' status and maintain records for contractor repairs and failure root causes.
  • Develop ad hoc reports associated with inventory, shipment, and configuration status of assets at CBP locations.
  • Establish, monitor and manage the performance and measurement of logistics functions for all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Travel occasionally required to client sites.


Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
  • 7+ years of experience in a government supply chain operations and a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics management, business administration, or a related discipline; or 10+ years of government supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of government property/asset management discipline desired.
  • Experience in most of the major logistics element areas.
  • DHS or DAWIA logistics certification desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with SAP and Maximo asset management systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.

Targeted Salary Range: $95,000 - $150,000
