Materials Manager

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Materials Manager position is responsible for materials management across the business unit. The position will work with Engineering, Operations, and Quality staff across the business unit to ensure control of inventory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Manage existing stockroom inventory.
• Implement control processes to ensure inventory is maintained accurately.
• Improve existing inventory capabilities to be able to handle serialized inventory and assemblies.
• Implement systems to better organize materials for operations.
• Work with Operations teams to understand BoMs to create job kits based on final products. i
• Build materials management functions for new sites during expansion.
• Perform other duties as required by supervisor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: i

Leadership over the materials management team (3-5 people).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Planning and Organization - Systematically identifies issues to be addressed and plans a course of action for self and others to ensure the accomplishment of specific objectives.
• Attention to detail - Utilizes established monitoring system, records data accurately and in a timely manner, and ensures accuracy of data.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
• Experience managing inventory warehouses.
• Education background in supply management, business management or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of experience related to inventory/materials management
