About the Role:

The Associate Director of Commercial Project Management leads complex product launches and commercial initiatives, providing strategic project management support for new products, line extensions, and existing product updates. This role enhances enterprise launch processes, manages project plans and dashboards, and communicates launch execution status to key stakeholders, including senior leadership. The position requires leading high-complexity commercial product launch teams, driving cross-functional alignment, and ensuring adherence to project requirements. The ideal candidate possesses excellent project management capabilities, strong organizational skills, and the ability to influence senior leaders in a fast-paced environment, while contributing to continuous improvement efforts and organizational success.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Lead and manage cross-functional project teams for enterprise-level product launches and commercial initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely execution

  • Drive the development and maintenance of comprehensive project plans, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources, with a focus on launch readiness and organizational strategy

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across multiple functions (e.g., Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, Supply Operations) and external partners

  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing innovative solutions as needed to keep projects on track

  • Oversee efficient, action-oriented program meetings, cross-functional communication and decision making, ensuring alignment with internal functional groups and leadership

  • Develop and refine launch playbooks, tools, and templates to ensure scalability and efficiency for future launches or commercial initiatives across the organization

  • Monitor project progress, critical path activities, and key performance indicators, providing strategic insights that inform short-term strategy and contribute to long-term functional planning

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in project management practices, applying in-depth expertise to solve problems and manage critical projects within the commercial function

  • Demonstrate expertise in pharmaceutical product launches, including regulatory requirements, marketing & market access landscapes, product positioning, and messaging strategies

  • Support the development and execution of commercial strategies, collaborating with function heads to ensure alignment with corporate goals and budget constraints

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree Business, Marketing, Life Sciences or similar field and 10+ years relevant commercial / marketing experience within the biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry, specializing Commercial program management, including product launch planning & execution OR

  • MBA or other Master's Degree preferred and 8+ years of related experience

  • Proven track record in managing complex, multi-faceted projects simultaneously, with a focus on risk identification, mitigation, and change management

  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, product approval processes, and commercial launch readiness/execution

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority and effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Demonstrated ability to create inclusive, empowered teams operating with high standards of alignment, trust, accountability, and collaboration

  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of summarizing and presenting complex information concisely

  • Proven ability to manage conflict, drive consensus, and promote decision-making

  • Adaptable self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with minimal supervision

  • Experience in building and managing comprehensive cross-functional plans in early-stage or new launch scenarios with limited infrastructure

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is a plus

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $170,400.00-$246,800.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 30% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
