About the RoleThe Security Specialist III role is a highly skilled and experienced position responsible for supporting and administering organizational security operations. This role involves preparing and executing procedures and processes throughout different areas of the organization. The role leverages expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and administer organizational security plans and operations.

  • Execute procedures and processes to provide physical protection for personnel and company property.

  • Prevent day-to-day damage, vandalism, and loss through effective security measures.

  • Manage and implement security risk programs to mitigate potential threats.

  • Ensure compliance with required codes and regulations.

  • Utilize security technology such as cameras, access control systems, surveillance cameras, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Conduct and manage investigations related to security incidents.

  • Perform interviews as part of security investigations.

  • Manage and process classified information in accordance with the NISPOM.

  • Navigate government websites for security-related information and compliance.

We're looking for dreamers who align with our values, vision and audacious goals - while also meeting the minimum qualifications below. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +6yrs experience).

  • Typically 8+ years of related experience.

  • Must have exceptional physical security knowledge such as security technology (cameras, access control,surveillance cameras, intrusion detection, etc.).

  • Experience in managing investigations and conducting interviews.

  • Knowledge of the NISPOM and classified information management and processing.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience with processing security clearances and security clearance tools such as SIMS, DISS, JADE,Talon, and Scattered Castles.

  • Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM), ICD 705, SEADs 3 and 4, and DoD 5205.07volumes.

  • Experience processing security clearances.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Security Fundament Professional Certification (SFPC), FSO Certification, SSO Certification,Formal ICD 705 Certification, or other relevant industrial security certifications.

  • Experience managing accredited SCIF spaces.

  • Extensive experience in security operations, law enforcement, or a related field.

  • Experience with incident response and crisis management.

  • Experience with security training and running large security education programs.

  • Prior experience working with and implementing Standard Operating Procedures, Security Plans, andOperations.

  • COMSEC manager experience.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
