Sierra Space is seeking a talented and motivated Technical Systems Administrator II to join our classified division. As a key member of our IT and Cybersecurity team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our systems infrastructure, ensuring the security and efficiency of our operations. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the configuration, installation, and upgrades of hardware and software, ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures.

  • Maintain servers and storage solutions, including Rubrik backup, WIN 2019 Servers, Windows 10/11 deployments, Linux servers, VMWare, ESXI, and Horizon servers.

  • Provide professional-level administration for Active Directory (AD) and Exchange.

  • Deploy and administer Cisco Call Manager and VOIP solutions for both classified and unclassified networks.

  • Support and maintain Cisco networking devices and Palo Alto devices.

  • Utilize WSUS or SCCM for patch management.

  • Administer and architect SPLUNK solutions.

  • Maintain detailed inventory of business area assets in classified areas.

  • Keep thorough documentation of network server configurations, application licensing agreements, and third-party software.

  • Manage backup systems processes and procedures.

  • Provide on-call support, monitor infrastructure proactively, and resolve issues promptly.

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot wired/wireless networks and related equipment.

  • Participate in testing new software and hardware.

  • Work closely with the Application and Development teams to provide necessary hardware support.

  • Maintain good documentation and communication skills with team members and leadership.

We're looking for dreamers who align with our values, vision, and audacious goals - while also meeting the minimum qualifications below. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and basic network routing protocols.

  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a CI polygraph U.S. Security Clearance.

  • CompTIA Security+ certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, focusing on engineering and technical solutions.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM solutions, and vulnerability management tools.

  • Experience with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java).

  • Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft, Linux, VMware, Cisco, Palo Alto, PowerShell, etc.

  • Experience with Active Directory and Linux administration.

  • Experience setting up build-machines and software development support.

  • Knowledge of reverse engineering tools and techniques, including static and dynamic analysis, disassemblers, and debuggers.

  • Experience with multiple operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows).

  • Certifications such as ISM CAP, CISSP, CISM, ISSE CAP, CISSP-ISSEP, Security+ CE, MCSE, Linux, and/or CCNP Security.

  • System and network engineering and architecture experience in complex virtual environments.

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

Estimated Starting Salary Range:$79,264.96 - $108,989.33
