Pharma Global Technical Operations (PT) is the organization that manufactures and delivers Roche's groundbreaking therapies to 127 million patients around the world. PT is involved in producing every Roche medicine - from the development process through clinical trials - and continuing to product maturity. Our organization coordinates all aspects of production of Roche medicines in all disease areas and dosage forms.

Over the last few years Roche grew a significant portfolio of cell and gene therapies: from vector based therapies to mRNA based cancer vaccines to autologous and allogeneic T-cell therapies and regenerative cell therapies.

Position Summary

The Business Partner Pharma pRED and PT, based in Philadelphia, US, will collaborate closely with the pRED and PT Philadelphia leadership teams, with Business Partners (Enterprise) for both pRED and PT as well as the US P&C colleagues to understand long-term business needs and strategic P&C priorities to deliver meaningful impact.

In this BP role, you will:

• will bring People & Culture (P&C) expertise and translate business priorities into P&C needs

• be accountable for performing as a trusted strategic partner and coach to the pRED and PT leaders in areas of change management, organization effectiveness, work environment, culture and leadership

• apply system thinking and partnership across the P&C model to diagnose, prioritize, initiate, and drive holistic P&C solutions across pRED and PT in Philadelphia and beyond

• focus on the deployment of the RDE and Pharma e2e solutions within Philadelphia

• be a key driver in moving pRED and PT in Philadelphia towards High Performance

• Will support the broader Philadelphia site team totalling approximately 330 people

The role holder will be part of the pRED P&C Community and the pRED BP/BPA team as well as the PT P&C Community and the PT BP/BPA team.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Business Acumen:

• Understands the business; sense, diagnose thoroughly and translate Pharma strategy to people solutions

• Translates the pRED and PT vision and people strategies into actionable projects and initiatives with clear goals and milestones that bring maximum impact

• Utilizes knowledge of the organization (pRED, PT, Pharma as well as Roche in the US) and the external environment to effectively diagnose issues and recommend improvements

• Navigates P&C operating model, connecting P&C expertise with business needs and fostering climate where work is done across the system and not in isolation

• Leverages technology to gather insights to make informed decisions and recommend innovative solutions

Collaboration:

• Works closely will the P&C colleagues in the US to enable the organization to make sense of the complexity and bring clarity to the path forward

• Maintains an enterprise mindset and works across both pRED and PT

• Operates as a member of the local leadership teams, effectively shaping the future together

• Drives an environment of high performance, holding self and others accountable to drive business results

• Serves as a sparring partner and coach, fostering great leadership in alignment with Roche's leadership framework

• Influences and coaches business leaders and other P&C professionals to drive positive impact

Who You Are:

• P&C professional with 7+ years experience, ideally in business partnering in a highly networked environment.

• Demonstrated ability in shaping culture, fostering diversity, inclusion, and psychological safety.

• Proven ability to coach senior leaders, navigate in complex environments, contribute to large-scale global initiatives

• Demonstrated enterprise mindset and system thinking, proven ability to work effectively across multiple leadership areas, global teams and networks in a fast paced environment

• Trusted influencer with excellent communication skills and high resilience.

• Fluent in English with a Bachelor's or Master's degree

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Philadelphia, PA is between $139,800 and $259,600. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
