What You'll Do:

As the Procurement Specialist, you will procure, contract and/or coordinate activities related to procurement of goods and services on behalf of Dyno Nobel Inc in compliance with Dyno Nobel Americas (DNA) Procurement Policy and Procedures. Other duties include:

  • Perform procurement transaction processes, in a timely and efficient manner on behalf of Dyno Nobel Inc. in compliance with DNA Procurement Policies and Procedures.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle for assigned categories, from sourcing and vendor selection to contract negotiation, purchase order processing, and supplier performance management.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements within spend limits, ensuring favorable terms and conditions while minimizing costs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., Sourcing, production, engineering, engineering, maintenance, R&D) to understand their needs, specifications, and timelines.
  • Develop and implement cost reduction strategies and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, track key metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, quality), and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Manage inventory levels for assigned categories, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing obsolescence.
  • Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Track purchase order status and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, specifically within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SAP MM (Materials Management) module is required. Experience with other SAP modules related to procurement is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) are highly desired
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
