Job Summary

The TEMP Business Ops Support staff will read, and review assigned applications and academic records for the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Support staff responsibilities include but are not limited to grade point average calculations, academic curriculum review, and data processing duties.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -

Perform duties related to professional field assignment.

Job Duty 2 -
Participate in reviews for compliance with policy and governmental regulations in the field.

Job Duty 3 -
Provide input to department policies and procedures.

Job Duty 4 -
May provide input to and administer project timelines and budgets.

Job Duty 5 -
May interact with vendors regarding procurement and delivery issues.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Bachelors degree
    • Strong time management, organizational, and critical thinking skills, as well as independent initiative
  • Strongly Preferred:
    • Experience reviewing high school or college admission files, resumes and/or employment applications.
    • Experience with selective and holistic college admission
  • The position also requires employees to use a high level of discretion and confidentiality regarding

Georgia Techs application review process and applicant information

  • File Review will be conducted remotely, therefore employees must have a home office with a personal

computer and high speed and reliable internet access.

  • All employees must live in the United States of America.
  • Applicants must demonstrate proficiency with personal computer office applications, e-mail, and

internet, as well as web-based communications (e.g. Outlook, Skype, etc.) and can

learn software applications specific to admissions and enrollment management (Slate)

  • Successful completion of a background check is required for final candidates.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires application of professional principles, processes and practices; application of regulations; utilization of basic and advanced computer applications including those specific to areas of responsibility; communication skills.

Essential Functions

  • Evaluate undergraduate applications for the Office of Undergraduate Admission with the intent of meeting enrollment goals for the Institution.
  • Evaluate undergraduate applications for the Office of Undergraduate Admission and process data to comply with USG policy and enrollment requirements.
  • Become adept at reading high school transcripts and high school profiles within Georgia Techs CRM.
  • Evaluate a students school record and any grade reports submitted by high school administration.
  • Evaluate the time and talent required of varied extracurricular activities, leadership, and work experiences. Assess quality and depth of these experiences.
  • Ability to learn about international credentials in their national/international context, determine equivalencies, and apply this information to the holistic application review process.
  • Available to commit to a minimum of 20-32 hours a week, except for official school holidays and contingent upon work volume on a weekly basis.
  • Available to complete all responsibilities during the work week and official business hours.
  • Work will be conducted remotely from your residence.
  • Parking is not provided.
