The Logistics Associate I - Receiving is responsible for handling, processing, and verifying incoming goods using SAP transactions. This role involves receiving, inspecting, documenting, and prioritizing materials for various departments, ensuring accuracy and quality control. The position requires proficiency in basic and intermediate SAP tasks and contributes to logistics, warehousing, and materials management functions. Core Responsibilities:
Receive, count, sort, log, inspect, and store incoming materials. Verify product inventory, quantities, and documentation for accuracy. Inspect incoming shipments for correct product, serial, and batch numbers. Perform Goods Receipt (GR) activities promptly within the same day. Document and resolve discrepancies in shipments, returns, and non-conformances. Maintain inventory accuracy through daily housekeeping and stock checks using SAP. Facilitate timely and accurate stock handling and distribution to various departments. Coordinate expedited receiving and cross-stock activities to meet customer demands. Monitor inbound shipping expectations through open PO due dates and logistics systems (FedEx, Freight). Support continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: Required:
1+ year of experience in inventory control, order fulfillment, or warehouse labor. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in Microsoft applications and basic MRP systems (e.g., SAP). Strong communication skills and customer service orientation. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving functions.
Preferred:
2+ years of experience in inventory control. Some college coursework or relevant certifications. Strong proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Suite. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
