Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and collaborative Lead Architect to lead the design and implementation of a standardized quality tooling solution. This critical role will require a deep understanding of software architecture, a strong consultative approach, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will work closely with stakeholders across various teams, including decentralized QA Engineering teams, to define requirements, design the solution, and create a comprehensive implementation plan. A key aspect of this role will be conducting thorough outreach to understand the diverse needs and challenges of these decentralized teams, consolidating their feedback into a unified, prioritized set of requirements for the centralized tooling development team. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of existing quality tooling environments across different stakeholders to understand their unique needs and challenges. Consolidate feedback gathered from decentralized QA Engineering teams into a prioritized list of requirements for the centralized tooling solution. Develop a comprehensive architectural design document specifying the solution's architecture (including diagrams and technology stack), data model, security, scalability, and phased implementation plan, clearly demonstrating how it addresses the diverse needs of decentralized QA teams. Present the architectural design and implementation plan to stakeholders for review and approval. Collaborate with the Central Quality development team to ensure a smooth handover and successful execution of the implementation plan; this includes providing clear, actionable specifications based on the consolidated requirements gathered from decentralized teams. Provide ongoing architectural guidance and support throughout the implementation process. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in software architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure systems. Deep understanding of various architectural patterns and best practices. Experience with designing and implementing quality assurance tooling and processes. Strong consultative skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent facilitation and collaboration skills. Experience with qualification technologies and automation. Experience working in an Agile environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years in management consulting, quality assurance, internal tools engineering, or related roles preferred. Soft skills: - Stellar communication skills - verbal to interface with all sorts of groups and leaders, and written as deliverables will be written out / spelled out so that the organization can follow this person's recommendations - Ability to iterate on feedback very fast - Strategic mindset - will be looking at the downstream impacts of their work Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $80.00/hr.
