We are searching for an energetic and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. Required Years Experience/Education Seven (7) years' experience is required for this position, and applicants should have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of software engineering experience on similar projects or programs will be accepted in lieu of an acceptable bachelor's degree. Similar projects or programs would be those with a team of software and systems engineers working with customers to define, document, and implement requirements for a software (or software and hardware) solution, testing, deploying and maintaining that solution, and potentially working with end users to troubleshoot and solve issues with the released software. Required Skills and Experience * Proficiency in Python * Experience using JavaScript or TypeScript * Strong testing skills * Must be comfortable working in Linux Desired Skills and Certifications: * Experience developing unit tests to automate regression testing * Strong understanding of data structures and multi-threaded processing * Experience designing and implementing object-oriented solutions * Experience and of the following technologies or products:
* Experience with basic networking, * Familiarity with various signals processing systems * Basic understanding of modern telephony systems and cellular technologies * Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills * Able to identify and anticipate needs of a user community, development staff, and integrated applications Work Environment: The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $140,000 - $225,000. The final salary will be determined based on various factors.
