DCCA is the prime contractor for this Government program that delivers important technical solutions and products using emerging technologies for high-speed SIGINT processing systems. The program is tactically important to the National Security of the United States and the work on these missions are frequently recognized for their results. We are searching for an energetic and motivated Software Engineer to join our team.

Required Years Experience/Education

Seven (7) years' experience is required for this position, and applicants should have a bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of software engineering experience on similar projects or programs will be accepted in lieu of an acceptable bachelor's degree. Similar projects or programs would be those with a team of software and systems engineers working with customers to define, document, and implement requirements for a software (or software and hardware) solution, testing, deploying and maintaining that solution, and potentially working with end users to troubleshoot and solve issues with the released software.

Required Skills and Experience

* Proficiency in Python

* Experience using JavaScript or TypeScript

* Strong testing skills

* Must be comfortable working in Linux

Desired Skills and Certifications:

* Experience developing unit tests to automate regression testing

* Strong understanding of data structures and multi-threaded processing

* Experience designing and implementing object-oriented solutions

* Experience and of the following technologies or products:

* Experience with basic networking,

* Familiarity with various signals processing systems

* Basic understanding of modern telephony systems and cellular technologies

* Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills

* Able to identify and anticipate needs of a user community, development staff, and integrated applications

Work Environment:
This team works in government spaces and interacts frequently with our customers to understand their requirements, schedules and priorities. This is a medium sized team, with over 15 software engineers with experience ranging from entry level to over 30 years. The team also includes almost 20 systems engineers, subject matter experts, and other supporting disciplines including information systems security, systems administration, and technical writing.

The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $140,000 - $225,000. The final salary will be determined based on various factors.
