Job Summary The Senior Manager of Solutions Engineering will be responsible for leading teams in the design, development, testing, implementation, and support of solutions for our customers' critical business processes. The role requires deep technical expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex projects involving multiple technologies and teams, and will be able to drive results despite competing priorities and tight deadlines.
About the Role As a Solutions Engineering Manager, you will:
- Oversee a team of Solution Engineers contributing to the successful delivery of C-Track implementations.
- Organize and execute remit engagement and internal responsibilities as a team through mentorship, coaching, training and sharing of engagement related activities.
- Act as an integral member of the Engagement Delivery team alongside Engagement Managers and Business Application Consultants and other organizational unit towards a successful solution implementation
- Participate in fit analysis sessions with customers and internal subject matter experts to identify gaps and find solutions that promote product first mentality, minimize customizations and future proof customer implementations.
- Review functional designs, create technical designs and augment functional development teams as required to help drive on time delivery.
- Negotiate with customers and internal stakeholders on project scope and solution proposals in a professional and effective manner.
- Collaborate with internal delivery teams and customers to develop achievable implementation release schedule.
- Support system configuration and data migration teams to ensure correct configuration and efficient migrations.
- Create technical and business solutions across all layers of a web application from the UI to the database and be able to innovate and create these solutions on the fly.
- Work as a team to achieve successful implementations by sharing tasks, mentorship and training other members of the solutions and development team.
- Assist with incorporating C-Track with other Thomson Reuters products where appropriate to maximize our solution offering to customers.
- Assist the Engagement Manager in managing client relationships and internally with the PMO team to ensure hydration of backlog and feature delivery.
- Participate and contribute to the delivery framework and internal development/engineering process.
- Participate in innovation programs and mentorship programs to develop skills that directly support the business goals of profitability and customer experience
- Participate in the business development process through review of technical RFP requirements and estimate implementation solutions and conducting demonstrations of the C-Track product suite to potential customers.
About You You're a fit for this role of Solutions Engineering Manager, if your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale enterprise software applications using Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong understanding of middleware technologies (e.g., MQ Series, IBM MQ, Kafka) and data center operations (e.g., VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops).
- Experience working with distributed systems, multi-tier architectures, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Ruby, PHP).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Results-driven individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple concurrent tasks without compromising quality or deadlines.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $99,400 - $184,600.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
