Position Title: Testing Lead

Salary Range: $107,120 - $123,600

Location: Remote

Schedule: M-F, 35 hours

Position Overview:

The Testing Lead provides quality excellence, leadership and mentorship for the testing team across our Unified Platform including Salesforce and our contact center solutions. They should have a thorough understanding of multiple technical areas and industry-standard best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. The Testing Lead works closely with the Testing Manager to coordinate and execute day-to-day testing activities ensuring coverage across the platform, assigning tasks and monitoring team progress, providing guidance, and ensuring that testing activities are executed according to the test strategy.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Guide and mentor the QA testing team, ensuring efficient and effective test cycles
  • Define, implement and refine testing strategies, standards, and methodologies
  • Design, document and execution of test cases, scripts, and test plans for manual and automated tests and all test-related documentation are created and maintained
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on testing results, providing insights and recommendations
  • Manage defect lifecycle using Jira, ensuring timely triage, resolution, and reporting.
  • Support test data preparation and environment coordination.
  • Coach and mentor QA analysts to elevate testing standards and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and product management to ensure alignment and meet product quality standards
  • Collaborate with the test manager and team members to assess potential risks associated with testing activities and implement mitigation strategies to address them
  • Collect feedback from team members and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes



Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Mastery in formulating and executing test cases, plans and strategies within complex test environments including end-to-end testing across multiple components/services
  • Expertise in modern and multiple testing methodologies and best practices
  • Proficiency in a variety of testing types: unit, functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance testing, end-to-end
  • Hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications and customizations
  • Experience in both UI & API testing
  • Proficiency with Jira
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to guide and grow teams
  • Comfortable with independent learning
  • Experience taking part in testing activities across Scrum Teams and assist with the successful execution of testing within Agile environments preferred.
  • Exposure to SAAS cloud based test environments preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with test management tools such as TestRail, PractiTest, Zephyr, Xray is a plus.
  • Experience with modern test automation tools is a plus.


Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or 7 years of equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of software testing experience, with 2+ years in a lead role.
  • Testing certifications are a plus.



Physical Requirements:



  • Will frequently communicate over video calls with internal and external stakeholders to provide status updates and potential roadblocks
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than 50% of the time while reviewing data on a screen
