MicroHealth is seeking a System Engineer IV to support our client and team. As a System Engineer supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) designated to support cross-functional telecommunications activities, with a focus on Unified Critical Telecommunication Systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in nurse call systems, middleware transport, pocket pagers, and public address systems that facilitate urgent and emergent staff communication within healthcare facilities at the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ) in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Location: 3551 Roger Brooke Dr, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the engineering, installation, implementation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of information systems for clients.

  • Determine and perform the most effective software deployment method(s) to specific systems or to an environment of over 9000 systems.

  • Documents all aspects of the engineering process as it relates to build and configuration, testing, and deployment of infrastructure platforms.

  • Coordinates changes such as implementation of new infrastructure platforms, upgrades or version increments to existing platforms with system administrators and stakeholders.

  • Performs infrastructure platform modeling, analysis, and planning.

  • Coordinates with architecture and evaluate new and emerging infrastructure platform technologies and make recommendations for selection of these products.

  • Assists system administrators with complex troubleshooting issues and if needed coordinates vendor engagements to assist in troubleshooting efforts

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.

  • Operate as an escalation point with BAMC IMD and shall support a functioning environment by troubleshooting to root cause all computer issues, as well as take appropriate action to resolve issues.

  • Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise-level Windows server and Virtualization solutions in a DOD Healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's in information technology.

  • 15 years of experience architecting, deploying, and managing enterprise level Windows Server and Virtualization solutions from the planning to the sustainment phase in a DOD healthcare environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise-level design and deployment of various technologies (Windows Server, SAN, VMware, Citrix, IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory, Azure).

  • Proficiency in implementing DoD security requirements and solutions.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security +

  • CompTIA Network +

  • Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator (CCAA)

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)`

  • Candidate must have one of the following DoD approved certifications to meet the category/level IAT III (DD 8570)

  • CASP CE
  • CCNP Security
  • CISA
  • CISSP

Salary:

$125,000 - $140,000
