Responsibilities & Expectations:

The BDC (Business Development Center) Sales Manager will lead and manage the IPS BDR's (Business Development Reps) and be responsible for achieving sales objectives within their assigned territories. The BDC Sales Manager will also build and maintain strong customer relationships while promoting the company's products and services to meet or exceed revenue and unit growth objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. The BDC Sales Manager will oversee teams based in Greensboro, NC.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead & Develop Sales Team - Manage and mentor an inside sales team within a call center environment, fostering a high-performance sales culture and ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any performance issues in a timely manner.
  • Technical Sales Strategy - Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to customers in electromechanical, power management, or related industries.
  • Customer Engagement - Drive exceptional customer experiences by optimizing sales processes and response times in a fast-paced call center setting.
  • Performance Management - Monitor key sales metrics, provide coaching, and implement best practices to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction. Support usage of Office Dynamics 365 CRM, maintain customer/service center alignment, load opportunities, contacts and additional information as needed.
  • Business Development - Identify growth opportunities, cultivate relationships with key accounts, and expand the customer base.
  • Process Improvement - Collaborate with technical teams to enhance product offerings and streamline customer interactions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless service and support.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth for all IPS divisions.
  • Collaborate with the local and regional teams to define sales objectives, market expansion plans, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Drive growth in New Accounts and Cross Selling across the IPS platform.
  • Identify new market opportunities, analyze market trends, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Review and analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to make informed decisions and recommendations for sales improvement.
  • Team with the IPS Training department to help drive improvement and understanding of IPS Products & Solutions.

Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establish sales performance metrics, monitor KPIs, and provide regular reports to the Local/regional team on sales results, forecasts, and trends.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and pipeline reviews to track progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Participate and help with Sales/Marketing Roundtable.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 5+ years of sales management experience, preferably in a call center or inside sales environment.
  • Technical background in electromechanical systems, power management, or industrial solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and improve customer engagement.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
