Description

Job Functions:



  • Assisting the Manager of Flight Control in his/her duties and to act on his/her behalf in his/her obligations in the oversight of his/her duties in his/her absence.
  • Act in the role of an Aircraft Dispatcher/Flight Follower.
  • Supervision of all dispatch/flight follower staff.
  • Coordinates operations with appropriate operational personnel for each customer.
  • Assist with scheduling of work shifts, vacations, training, and any other personnel scheduling needs.
  • Assist with establishing modifications and reviewing system operations to ensure established procedures, policies, regulatory and legal requirements are being met.
  • Provide continued training to reinforce knowledge, and provide updates to flight release (dispatch), safety and company procedures, thus ensuring safe and efficient practices are maintained.
  • Maintain a high degree of knowledge pertaining to the contents of the Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and Operations Specifications (OpSpecs), Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Procedures Manual (PM), Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM) and Minimum Equipment List (MEL/CDL), EWINS Policy System Manual, Flight Training Manual (FTM), and other instructions pertinent to his/her duties.
  • Management of the Sabre Flight Planning System
  • Other duties as assigned


Position Requirements:



  • 1 year experience as an aircraft dispatcher/flight follower at a 121 air carrier.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • Aircraft Dispatcher License


Preferred Job Skills:



  • 1 year supervisory experience in FAR Part 121 airline operations.


Physical Requirements:



  • Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Light to moderate lifting is required.
  • Comply with ATI attendance requirements
