PI Program Director - Finance

Summary:

In this role, you will use in-depth expertise to develop collaborative topic area content through research and collaboration with subject matter expert (SME) teams, with a primary focus on projects related to revenue cycle management, financial performance, payer strategies and expense management. You will facilitate collaborative improvement community connections (in a one-to-many model) from the recruitment of members to knowledge sharing of best practices to driving measurable improvement and change (e.g., reduction in length of stay, readmission, hospital acquired conditions). This role will also provide support to the PI Analytic team, which provides program-level analytics and works with colleagues to develop and deliver data insights and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and deliver large scale performance improvement projects and benchmarking studies by maintaining awareness of industry specific topics, determining potential member impacts, and developing communications and programming.
  • May oversee review of policies, procedures, and practices for the program
  • Generate complex reports, conduct comparative analysis and utilize data visualization skills to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Build, synthesize and translate clinical, operational, financial datasets into comprehensive and compelling member insights.
  • Develop program delivery structure and framework (e.g., meeting logistics, delivery) for meetings with member peer groups.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external business relationships, reaching out to members for follow-up activities and to communicate successes.
  • Coach others in methods to transform and engage members.
  • Convene member groups to educate members on PI processes and facilitate discussion, plan topic content for projects.
  • Identify leading practice members for knowledge transfer and webcast webinars; develop and manage relationships with external SMEs for contracting for services and follows up on expectations.
  • Evaluate the best media channels to distribute content and program information and create program promotional materials.
  • Identify outcome and process metrics for projects to evaluate member performance improvement; determines the best way to represent results.
  • Select and build projects likely to have measurable impact and monitor performance / effectiveness of program delivery; makes recommendations and leads internal teams to improve member experience.
  • Monitor program satisfaction and take appropriate actions independently to improve satisfaction for assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Master's degree highly preferred.
  • 7 or more years of experience in quality improvement/performance improvement role within a health care setting required.
  • Healthcare financial experience required.
  • Experience with Vizient Databases (ODB, CPSC, CDB) strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management experience desired, PMP or Black belt certification highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel required.
  • Strong analytical, database, and spreadsheet skills required.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau preferred.
  • Willingness to travel .

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
