The Advanced Life Support (ACLS/PALS) Instructor is responsible for effectively presenting the course content, demonstrating the skills of ACLS and/or PALS, and evaluating the performance of skills as demonstrated by each class participant.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials

  • ACLS Instructor [ACLS-INS] - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • HeartSaver CPR Instructor [Heartsaver CPR AED - CPR-INS] - American Heart Association (AHA) preferred
  • BLS certification required

Experience

  • Experience in training and development. 2-3 years required
  • One (1) to three (3) years experience as an ACLS and/or PALS/PEARS Instructor preferred
  • Demonstrated public speaking ability required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with developing and delivering training programs
  • Experience with working with employers to identify training needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure.
