Natus Sensory, Inc. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our Global Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing general accounting functions including journal preparation, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and inter-company account reconciliations. The role requires strong attention to detail, financial analysis, and effective collaboration with the Accounting, Finance teams, and other business departments. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will assist with reporting and ad hoc projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Month-End Close Support: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all relevant entries are posted accurately and on time.
  • Fixed Assets: Oversee the accounting for fixed assets, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Leases: Administer lease accounting, including the proper recording and reconciliation of lease liabilities and assets, in compliance with IFRS 16 or ASC 842 as applicable.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Administration: Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations at month-end, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Administer the Blackline reconciliation tool, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation processes across various accounts.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Provide accounting support to the Accounting, Finance teams, and other business units to ensure seamless operations and resolve any financial issues.
  • Additional Support: Offer financial and accounting support to other functions within the organization as needed.

Travel Required:

Some travel is required, up to 20%.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in or equivalent; in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Senior Accountant position capacity and/or 3-5 years of experience in general accounting, with hands-on experience in month-end close processes and reconciliations
  • Working proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Oracle preferred or similar is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and provide solutions and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build partnerships and foster collaboration.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliations

Key Tasks:

  • Analyze financial statements and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Working with other peers to build the Finance function for Natus Sensory

Pay Transparency

Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education. Salary Range: $85,000 to $100,000 plus bonus.
