Senior Tax Analyst

Location: Hybrid, Birmingham, Michigan

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience.

Summary

The Senior Tax Analyst will be exposed to a broad range of experiences within the global tax field while growing your knowledge of our business. The position will require interaction with employees in other departments/groups within the company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities



  • Manage and coordinate preparation of federal, state and local income/franchise tax returns.
  • Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations.
  • Respond to notices from various taxing jurisdictions.
  • Participate in tax audits by gathering supporting documentation, preparing supporting workpapers and drafting responses.
  • Prepare calculations supporting ASC 740 accounting and reporting, including the effective tax rate, deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, and tax footnotes.
  • Monitor and interpret tax law changes and the impact on tax positions and calculations.
  • Conduct tax research on as needed basis.
  • Responsible for timely account reconciliations and required entries for all direct tax accounts.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Coordinate with external service providers.



Required Education and Experience



  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in direct tax.
  • Experience with ASC 740 reporting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.



Preferred Education and Experience



  • College diploma or university degree in finance, business administration, or related discipline.
  • CPA Certification.
