Description Senior Tax Analyst Location: Hybrid, Birmingham, Michigan Employment Type: Full-Time Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience. Benefits Offered: Vision, Medical, Life, Dental, 401K Summary The Senior Tax Analyst will be exposed to a broad range of experiences within the global tax field while growing your knowledge of our business. The position will require interaction with employees in other departments/groups within the company. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Manage and coordinate preparation of federal, state and local income/franchise tax returns. Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations. Respond to notices from various taxing jurisdictions. Participate in tax audits by gathering supporting documentation, preparing supporting workpapers and drafting responses. Prepare calculations supporting ASC 740 accounting and reporting, including the effective tax rate, deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, and tax footnotes. Monitor and interpret tax law changes and the impact on tax positions and calculations. Conduct tax research on as needed basis. Responsible for timely account reconciliations and required entries for all direct tax accounts. Support internal and external audit requirements. Coordinate with external service providers. Required Education and Experience 5+ years of relevant work experience in direct tax. Experience with ASC 740 reporting. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research. Preferred Education and Experience College diploma or university degree in finance, business administration, or related discipline. CPA Certification.
