We are seeking an experienced Manager, Software Engineeringwith a strong background in software design, quality and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development, a proven track record of modernizing legacy codebases, and a deep expertise in system design and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). This role requires exemplary leadership abilities, with at least 2-3 years managerial experience, and a demonstrated history of delivering high-quality software on schedule and within budget. As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will be responsible for driving technical leadership and innovation within the team, ensuring that software development processes, standards, and best practices are established and maintained. You will lead the design and implementation of solutions, with a focus on system architecture, scalability, efficiency, and security. Your hands-on approach will be crucial in maintaining software quality and in guiding the team to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Additionally, you will stay abreast of industry trends, evaluating and recommending modern technologies to enhance our development processes. You Will: Successful accomplishments and primary accountabilities of this position depend on establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with various people. Such people may include MCG staff, MCG leadership, clients, vendors, Hearst Corporate and Service Center.
