Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical installations, onsite technical support while assisting with other mechanical work on the client site.
  • Lead field mechanical assembly, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
  • Support mechanical and electrical subcontractors for installation of equipment at customer facilities.
  • Lead training, troubleshooting, and repair/adjustment of mechanical and electrical control systems.
  • Work with Test Engineering Group and perform factory acceptance tests of finished equipment.
  • Assemble discrete pieces of equipment that incorporate Intralox belting at the Hanover facility.
  • Provide design and assembly support for industrial conveyor equipment, as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer.
  • Ability to understand and work from mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to independently install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical/electrical control systems.
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturer's drawings and manuals. Electrical drawing/ schematic reading.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of control panels and control panel/ field components.
  • Proficient with using PLC software and hardware. Adeptness with Allen Bradley, Powerflex Drives, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, RSLogix
  • 500 Rockwell applications.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with engineering groups, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Previous knowledge of electrical panels, motors, drives, networks, and PLC's.
  • Methodical approach to troubleshooting and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively (70% +) work weekends, holidays and overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and climb ladders.
  • Ability to set priorities, utilize and coordinate resources, and manage visits from start to finish with little supervision.
  • Customer service-oriented personality and approach

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous experience using bar code scanners and cameras.
  • Previous lead or supervisory experience.
  • Previous work experience in an industrial environment. Experience can either be in a manufacturing plant or with an integrator or equipment OEM.
  • Knowledge of or prior work with industrial conveyor systems.
  • Previous experience with Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Intralox considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training and key skills. The position is eligible for one of the following: commissions, discretionary incentives, or production incentives according to the terms of those plans.

Salary Range: $60,200 to $127,300
