Title: Process Controls Automation Technician (PCAT) Focus: The Process Controls Automation Technician (PCAT) is responsible for the development of appropriate control strategies by applying practical plant knowledge and experience to ensure Process Control programming and simulation programming is user friendly and effective at controlling and alarming abnormalities in plant equipment. The PCAT is also responsible for maintaining and improving functions of MOD5 and IP21 applications. MOD 5 Applications, future conversation to DeltaV Applications (AMS, Historian, OPS), IP21, AgileOps, Shift COnnector and other Olin Web applications are routinely used to perform the job requirements. All hardware issues related to Control System and Network systems will be managed by the PCAT. The Freeport site is the single largest chlor alkali complex in the world with more than 1,000 employees. The chemical products produced at our Freeport location include chlorine and caustic soda, vinyls, epoxies, chlorinated organics, aromatics, bleach, hydrogen, and hydrochloric acid.
