Provide technical and administrative support to the Division Exploration Manager and staff. Utilize database information and software tools to assemble and analyze data under the direction of the Geophysicist and Geologist. Assist with data assembly, analysis, organization and presentations. Load seismic and well data. Load directional survey data and cultural data. Gather and post activity (seismic, drilling, completion, etc.) in geographic area of responsibility (activity maps). Periodic interaction with software vendors, logging companies and seismic processors. Interaction with drilling, engineering, and land personnel is also expected.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of experience as a geological or geophysical technician, experience using Petrel preferred. Bachelor's degree a plus, preferably in geophysics, geology, math or computer science. High school diploma or GED required. Must have a technical background with strong math and computer skills. Proficiency in applications such as Petrel Studio, ArcGIS, Kingdom, Petra, Spotfire, Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft access is preferred, but training available. Must be familiar with 2D and 3D seismic, drilling, wireline log, core and GIS data. Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work individually and collaboratively in a team environment. Must be able to set priorities and meet deadlines, be able to handle large volumes of data and be able to multi-task. Previous experience working with Geophysicist, Geologists, and/or petrophysicists is desirable.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
