About This Position:

Baker Publishing Group is currently accepting applications for the position of Publicity Intern. This position's objective is to support the publicity team in various tasks related to media tracking, outreach, and administrative functions. Responsibilities include capturing and recording media hits, assisting with mailings and maintaining key media contacts, creating publicity templates, uploading documents to SharePoint, and researching media coverage for comparable titles in preparation for upcoming releases. Additional duties involve attending all-staff meetings, pub board meetings, publicity meetings, and joint marketing and publicity meetings. The intern will also meet with staff in different publishing departments to gain familiarity with the publishing process. General support for the publicity team and maintaining ARC counts on the ARC ordering spreadsheet are also key aspects of this role.

Qualifications:

• At least two years of college, majoring in Communications or a related field
• An interest in Christian publishing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work well with others

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a paid internship for 26 hours per week. Academic credit can be provided by an intern's accredited institution, if desired.
