Senior Technical Writer

Join BigBear.ai as a Senior Technical Writer and embark on an exciting journey in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. You will be responsible for the preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of operational doctrine documents including management directives, guidance documents, implementation plans, and standard operating procedures. This is a high-visibility opportunity where you'll engage directly with senior leaders at the office-level of Mission Management, amplifying your professional impact.

This position requires an active TS/SCI w/Poly and will work on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD.

• Craft and elevate operational documentation utilizing top-tier tools like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat, showcasing your expertise.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to unearth critical technical insights and guarantee the precision of document content.
• Organize document content for readability, with a focus on the intended audience.
• Write/edit content, then publish and distribute final product.
• Maintain documentation library using existing configuration management processes.

• 8 yrs., B.S. or 6 yrs. w/ an M.S., 4 yrs. of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Exceptional editing and proofreading skills that ensure every document shines.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills that foster clear and impactful interactions.
• Ability to gather technical information and requirements.
• Strong experience with Atlassian Confluence.
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Experience with programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• A customer-centric mindset combined with the versatility to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team.

• Prior experience with government policies.
• Understanding of section 508/ADA documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira
