ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is looking for a Performance Engineer (Guaranteed Energy Savings Projects) to join our Public Sector Central in either Springfield, Illinois, or St. Louis, Missouri. The position will support Southern Illinois. Frequent travel (approximately 25%- 50%), including overnight stays is required. The Performance Engineer is the primary technical project developer. As the primary resource for technical expertise, Account Executives and Regional management count on Performance Engineers to be responsible for understanding the technical needs and wants of a customer, then turning that information into accurate concrete solutions. Performance Engineers may deal with technical issues that include but not limited to facility utility consumption analysis and use- and cost-reduction strategies, general capital improvements, and even large-scale community infrastructure projects. The Performance Engineer is responsible for the technical strategies, the costing of projects, forecasting energy reduction for a given solution, and if applicable, creating a plan to measure and verify the energy reductions forecasted, presenting the findings and solutions to customers and mangers, and to assist the delivery team to ensure smooth installations and achieve exceptional results for the customer.
