The HVAC Tech V will complete the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC equipment and related duties as assigned. The incumbent will install, maintain, repair, overhaul, and calibrate all types of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment including pumps, boilers, burners, temperature controls, thermostats, air conditioning and ventilating units, condensers, fans, evaporators, controls, related electrical apparatus and smoke and fire detecting and damping systems. The HVAC Technician will estimate materials, supplies and equipment required to perform work assignments.

Requirements/Qualifications:




  • Work requires a high school level of educational development and
  • Completion of a four-year HVAC apprenticeship program.
  • Maryland Class C driver's license required.
  • Maryland HVAC Journeymen License required. Ten years of equivalent training and experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems may be substituted for Maryland License. Preference given to candidates with prior experience in hospital settings.

Salary Range: Minimum $36.35 per hour - Maximum $36.35 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
