Performs and coordinates all technical operations involving the Long Term Monitoring Unit. Provides care that is appropriate to the specific chronological age, developmental age, social maturity, and cultural background of the patient(s) being treated or serviced.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Adheres to Corporate Compliance Guidelines
  • Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with the Hospital Safety and Infection Control policies as required by OSHA and the Patient Safety Program.
  • Adheres to all Jefferson Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform all duties of the long term monitoring in the long term monitoring center, intensive care unit. Reviews and prepares computer detected EEG data for physician interpretation coordinates own daily workflow according to clinical urgency maintains equipment and supply inventory for long term monitoring unit Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma Science

Experience: Minimum of one year's technical experience in performing neurodiagnostic procedures under the direction of a boarded Electroencephalographer/Epileptologist. Six months of technical experience in long term monitoring unit is preferred. Experience with a variety of computer platforms for neurodiagnostics, audio/visual and computer equipment and other electronic devices and their applications as related to neurodiagnostic procedures.
