  • We are hiring immediately for full time PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR positions.
  • Location: MG Foods - 701 Monster Road SW, Renton, WA 98057 Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full time schedule. Days and hours may vary. Must be able to work AM and PM hours. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Pay Rate: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Production Department;

  • Supervise schedules and attendance for production staff;

  • Maintain and update required records including food production, meal units

  • Ensure follows proper sanitation procedures;

  • Supervise food service employees, including assembly line workers, runners, machine operators, and line leaders;

  • Supervise cleanliness and maintenance of equipment; including refrigerators, freezers, packaging machines, etc.;

  • Train and supervise staff on the proper use of equipment, food handling, and Good Manufacturing Practices;

  • Assist in recruiting candidates;

  • Supervise cleaning of the food preparation areas including all utensils and equipment;

  • Oversee required paperwork is up to company standards as well as state and federal laws and regulations;

  • Supervise the staging of food items for assembly line production;

  • Oversee that food presentation is attractive;

  • Ensure that food frozen items are stored and rotated properly by production staff;

  • Supervise processing and preparation of food products to ensure compliance with standards of cleanliness and hygiene;

  • Supervise "First-In - First-Out" (FIFO) food safety systems and procedures;

  • Supervise preventative and general maintenance on food production equipment;

  • Direct cleanliness of counters and floors to ensure a safe working environment;

  • Manage and verify accuracy of scale measurements according to specifications (Specs);

  • Manage labeling of packaged food items according to standard protocols;

  • Manage verification of product labeling and accuracy of lot codes;

  • Assure quality and quantity of food items;

  • Train and supervise Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures;

  • Assure compliance of all company policies, procedures, and standards;

  • Ensure of all company policies, procedures, and standards are followed and met;

  • Identify opportunities and find solutions for continuous improvement;

  • Maintain and update documents and files as required;

  • Comply and enter Data into electronic systems and prepare reports when necessary;

  • Respond to staff and management questions in accurate and timely manner;

  • Address and respond promptly to needs and inquiries of management;

  • Identify and respond to problems with appropriate action and timely follow-up;

  • Assist in the review of departmental process to seek improvements;

  • Support department and company-based goals which contribute to the success of Fresh & Ready Foods;

  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality at all times on matters pertaining privileged company information as well as customers, vendors, distributors, and staff;

  • Promote by example the principles of the Fresh & Ready Foods;

  • Ensure that office and production work areas are kept clean at all times, safeguarding confidential information and documents;

  • Consistently demonstrate professional verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;

  • Problem-solve, organize and balance multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment;

  • Maintain composure when handling unexpected challenges and competing demands; and

  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations.

Requirements (Bilingual English/Spanish)

  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, this includes temperatures within coolers and freezers with proper gear

  • Must be willing to work flexible schedule and extended hours as needed, including nights and weekends

  • Apply accurate and neat practices

  • Must have impeccable personal hygiene

  • Must be able to lift weights up to 50 -- 60 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation

    Job Summary

    Summary: Responsible for setting up and maintaining food production and quality control of food items prepared in the kitchen.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Prepares food items necessary for assigned area.
    • Assigns specific duties to associates under supervision for efficient operation of the kitchen.
    • Ensures proper storage and handling of products; uses portion, presentation and recipe controls.
    • Maintains cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including food and non-food working areas.
    • Reports equipment repair/maintenance to appropriate supervisor or facility department.
    • Supervises team members in absence of Sous Chef; disciplines, trains and schedules associates.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
